Our Teacher-Researchers Honored at the Start of the Year 2025!

"The pursuit of truth and the transmission of knowledge are the pillars of any great civilization." Sometimes attributed to Albert Einstein, this quote perfectly reflects the spirit of the quest for academic excellence.

The EM Normandie Foundation wishes you a wonderful year ahead in 2025.

To begin this new year, we are delighted to announce the winners of the 6th edition of the Academic Excellence Awards, held on Thursday, November 21st, 2024, in Caen, during the Faculty's biannual meeting. For the past six years, the Foundation has been presenting these awards to honor outstanding research work and high-quality pedagogical innovations. The Academic Excellence Awards are divided into two categories: the Research Award and the Pedagogical Innovation Award.

The Research Award

The Foundation’s Research Award is granted to Moacir Godinho Filho, Professor in sustainable supply chain management, operations management and decision sciences at Le Havre campus.

The award recognizes the article: "Companies’ Responsiveness in Facing Supply Chain Breakdowns: The Role of Lean Manufacturing," published in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Transactions on Engineering Management

The Pedagogical Innovation Award

The Foundation’s Pedagogical Innovation Award is granted to Aneta Hamza-Orlinska, Assistant Professor in Human Ressources Management at the Dublin campus.

The award acknowledges her active pedagogical approach: her Agile Management course, offered on the Dublin campus, combines hands-on learning, the use of professional tools, and industry collaboration to teach agile methodologies such as Scrum. This program promotes innovation, adaptability, and career readiness, with proven benefits in student satisfaction and employability.
