The 5th edition of the Academic Excellence Awards was held on Tuesday 12 December 2023 in Caen, during the Faculty's biannual meeting. The EM Normandie Business School Foundation has been awarding these prizes for the past five years, recognising outstanding research and teaching innovations. The Academic Excellence Award is divided into two categories: the research award and the teaching innovation award.

Research Prize

The Foundation's Research Prize is awarded to Ana Beatriz LOPES de SOUSA JABBOUR, Professor of Supply Chain Management for Sustainable Development at the Paris campuses.
The prize recognises the article ‘Better together’: Evidence on the joint adoption of circular economy and industry 4.0 technologies, published in the International Journal of Production Economics.

Teaching Innovation Prize

The Foundation's Teaching Innovation Prize goes to Josip MARIĆ, Assistant Professor in Supply Chain Management and Logistics and Academic Director of the M1/M2 DESMI programme on the Paris campuses.

The award recognises its active teaching approach integrating 3D printing and AR/VR technologies into the programmes for undergraduate (U3) and Master of Science (MSc) students in Dubai, Dublin and Paris.
